Inheritance and memory of stress‐induced epigenome change: roles played by the ATF‐2 family of transcription factors
Data on the inheritance‐of‐stress effect have been accumulating and some mechanistic insights, such as epigenetic regulation, have also been suggested. In particular, the modern view of Lamarckian inheritance appears to be affected by the finding that stress‐induced epigenetic changes can be inherit...

Zusammenfassung: | Data on the inheritance‐of‐stress effect have been accumulating and some mechanistic insights, such as epigenetic regulation, have also been suggested. In particular, the modern view of Lamarckian inheritance appears to be affected by the finding that stress‐induced epigenetic changes can be inherited. This review summarizes the current data on the inheritance of stress effect and possible mechanisms involved in this process. In particular, we focus on the stress‐induced epigenetic changes mediated by the ATF‐2 family of transcription factors. |
