Zusammenfassung: | The naturally occurring plasmid pSM19035 contains a 12 kb long inverted repeat DNA sequence. We are interested in the role of this structural feature in replication. Analysing the nucleotide sequence of the pSM19035 repS gene we found several differences to the sequence previously reported. We have read a G residue (underlined) in place of a T at position 1313, with a subsequent amino acid change. The run of A' between 1355 and 1360 only has 5 A's instead of 6, as reported. Our sequence has an additional A at position 1450. With these differences the predicted polypeptide sequences differ markedly at their carboxyl-terminal ends. |
