Zusammenfassung:Multiple nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR) are expressed in the vertebrate central nervous system. We have previously reported the cloning of cDNAs encoding two novel structural subunits of the goldfish neural nAChR. Here we report the cloning of a third structural subunit, called GF beta -2, from a goldfish retina cDNA library. GF beta -2 contains an open reading frame of 1377 bases, which encodes a protein of 459 amino acids.
