Zusammenfassung:	Cu,Zn superoxide dismutase (SOD) is one of the cytoplasmic enzymes involved in cell detoxification from reactive oxygen species. It has been previously shown that X. laevis cells express two variants of this enzyme (XSODA and XSODB). We report here the complete nucleotide sequence of XSODB. The deduced amino acid sequence differs from the reported protein sequence, in which Pro was found in position 60 instead of Ser.
