Zusammenfassung:	P450CMF is a newly defined cytochrome P450 which is constitutively present in the Sprague-Dawley rat in both male and female liver, and in male kidney, and is highly active in estradiol 2- and 16 alpha -hydroxylations. A cDNA library constructed from rat liver poly(A) super(+) RNA in lambda gt10 was screened using rat P450CMF3 under conditions of low stringency. Positive clones could be further classified into those which hybridized with the specific oligomers of P450CMF1a, CMF1b, CMF2 or CMF3. The nucleotide sequence of a clone, lambda crCMF35, which encoded the entire P450CMF1b peptide, is shown.
