Zusammenfassung:Recent trends in different deprivation groups have shown up both a widening in some of these factors (smoking, blood pressure in women) and a narrowing in others (total cholesterol, BMI, and blood pressure in men). Because of the baseline inequalities in risk factor levels between individuals in different socioeconomic groups the inequalities in levels of cardiovascular disease are likely to persist.
