Case history: scrofuloderma

Until recently, Canada enjoyed relative freedom from tuberculosis compared with other countries, but since the late 1960s this disease has been on the increase.One form of the disease which may be missed because it is uncommon in western countries is cutaneous tuberculosis. This article presents a typical case of scrofuloderma, showing the difficulties of diagnosis. Prompt response to therapy was achieved.
