Zusammenfassung: | We have developed a knowledge based system that allows persons exposed to Hepatitis A or B to be efficiently evaluated and treated. Our major design goal was to provide COST EFFECTIVE quality care.
Our system: (1) guides nurses in gathering a complete patient history; (2) allows the physicians to evaluate the patient quicker by generating a series of reports. The physician reviews these reports with the patient. The reports include: Patient's History and Treatment, Patient's Information Sheet, Physician's Information Sheet, and Consent Form. Our system enables nurses to use more of their knowledge and become better assistants to the physicians. In addition, the system also decreases the physician resources needed to provide and document patient care. |
