Impact of the Micro on the Medical Practitioner—New Vistas in Education, Research, and the Delivery of Health Services

It is generally agreed that micro computer technology will open vistas of computer applications undreamed of in the recent past. Although there are a few software packages oriented toward the private physician practitioner (the majority oriented toward fiscal problems), the real health care application significance of this micro product of computer technology lies in its potential for responding to a wide spectrum of needs of the individual, partnership, or small group practice.
