Zusammenfassung:The understanding of the RNA-mediated gene-regulatory pathway, known as RNA interference (RNAi), has come a long way since its discovery in the early 1990s. A discussion of a microsymposium in which the aim was to bring together newly established group leaders to discuss their latest findings on many aspects of small RNAs, ranging from their in silico prediction to the elucidation of their functional properties in vivo is presented.
