Surgery for glaucoma in the 21st century

The presence of a bleb in patients undergoing viscocanalostomy strongly suggests that subconjunctival drainage is occurring, which is likely given that it is almost impossible to secure the outer scleral flap in non-penetrating surgery after a large inner scleral block has been removed.
