Zusammenfassung: | It's not just the numbers, it's what you do with them. This, says Glenda Yeates, president and CEO of the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), is the true value of the information in Health Care in Canada 2006, CIHI's 7th annual report on the state of Canada's health system. "What's heartening for us is that when we put out these indicators, we see regions really using them and digging down and trying to understand why their rate might be different than someone else's and how they can do better," Yeates told the CMAJ. "It isn't really about pitting one region against another," says Yeates. "It's about giving people the kind of information that they can then use and delve deeper to understand what does this mean for us." |
