Interaction between flurbiprofen and indomethacin in rheumatoid arthritis

The aim of this study was to measure serum levels of flurbiprofen and indomethacin when administered alone or in combination. Changes in clinical effect and toxicity were also noted. Ten patients with classical or definite rheumatoid arthritis (RA) according to the American Rheumatism Association's criteria agreed to take part in the study, which was approved by the Hospital Ethical Committee. All were female with ages ranging from 29-64 years (median 55 years) and a disease duration from 6 months-22 years (median 5 years).
