Zusammenfassung: | The ancestry of 69 cows having left displaced abomasum was compared with that of 69 cows (matched for age, farm and lactation) not having experienced left displaced abomasum. A variety of tests were used to ascertain if certain bulls or families of bulls produced daughters with an increased risk of developing left displaced abomasum. However, there were no significant differences between the pedigrees of the affected and nonaffected cows. |
