Zusammenfassung:	A fistula between the left ventricle and the coronary sinus was diagnosed by Doppler echocardiography and confirmed by cardiac catheterisation in a symptom free child who presented with clinical signs of mitral regurgitation. A similar abnormality has been reported after repeated mitral valve replacement and after myocardial infarction but a congenital fistula of this type has not been described before.
