Invasion of protozoa by Legionella pneumophila and its role in bacterial ecology and pathogenesis

The ecology and epidemiology of legionellae, initial interactions between Legionella pneumophila and its primitive protozoan hosts, intercellular replication within protozoa and other findings concerning L. pneumophila are discussed.
