Zusammenfassung:The author reports a 19‐year‐old woman suffering from repeated episodes of non-bloody vomiting for 18 months. All routine and special investigations were normal. She was labeled as a case of cyclic vomiting syndrome (CVS), and she developed insomnia after the initiation of amitriptyline as a prophylactic treatment. The case was reported to increase awareness regarding the importance of monitoring medication side effects among clinicians when using different classes of medications to treat CVS.
