Zusammenfassung:	Highlights • Three-dose polio vaccine coverage in Ukraine declined from 91% in 2008 to 15% by mid-2015. • Polio outbreak (2 cases) due to highly divergent cVDPV1 occurred in 2015. • Nationwide outbreak response conducted despite numerous challenges. • cVDPV1 transmission was interrupted but gaps in immunity and surveillance remain. • To reduce continued risk of polio in Ukraine, these gaps should be addressed.
