Zusammenfassung:Posterior subcapsular cataracts were studied in 10 patients (19 eyes) and were photographed at four to 12 weeks intervals by the Oxford Retroillumination Camera. Changes in the fine structure of PSC may occur in as short a time as four weeks. Posterior subcapsular cataracts are shown to be in a state of flux and are not, as might be assumed, slowly but relentlessly progressive. This could imply the existence of a repair mechanism in the lens.
