Zusammenfassung:This paper evaluates the empirical status of school-based relaxation training programs. Focusing on progressive muscle relaxation training for children, training methods and evaluation are discussed. It concludes that if used with school children, there should be modest goals, and more comprehensive treatment packages which influence successful performance in target areas and reduction of anxiety levels.
