Effect of Whole Body Irradiation on Colony Production by Bone Marrow Cells in vitro

Summary With increasing doses of whole body irradiation there was an exponential decrease in the percentage of cells in the bone marrow capable of in vitro colony formation. This decrease was correlated with a fall in the percentage of small lymphocytes in the bone marrow suggesting that the in vitr...

Zusammenfassung:Summary With increasing doses of whole body irradiation there was an exponential decrease in the percentage of cells in the bone marrow capable of in vitro colony formation. This decrease was correlated with a fall in the percentage of small lymphocytes in the bone marrow suggesting that the in vitro colony forming cells are members of the small lymphocyte population.
