Symptoms appeared just before landing, about an hour after a meal containing contaminated ham had been served. 143 passengers were admitted to hospital. 1 patient developed acute anuria and 1 had hemiplegia and aphasia; both recovered. Fever and bloody stools were recorded with unusual frequency.
