Zusammenfassung:By means of an experimental set-up, it was possible to measure the maximum transport capacity of ureteric catheters. It was found that this varies from about 50 to 1 700 ml/hr for ureteric catheters Nos. 3 to 8, at pressures corresponding to the filtration pressure. It is concluded that in order to provide effective drainage in a phase of polyuria, catheters of Charrière 7 to 8 should be used.
