Zusammenfassung:Actinomycin D not only protected against the induction of rat mammary tumors by 7,12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene, but also influenced the nature of those tumors that developed. Fewer glandular neoplasms, and more secretory adenomas and fibroadenomas were formed. Histologic distinctions among the various mammary nodules are described, and it is stressed that evaluation of experimental data without consideration of the histologic nature of the nodules may be invalid.
