Zusammenfassung:We present the findings from four cross-sectional trend surveys, conducted between 1977 und 1983, intended to monitor the prevalence of alcohol and drug use among students enrolled in grades 7,9, 11 and 13 in Ontario. Between 1981 and 1983 the non-medical use of stimulants increased significantly; use of several illicit substances achieved a wider acceptability among older male students; finally, a decline in the prevalence, but not frequency, of cannabis use was suggested.
