Zusammenfassung: | Fibrin glues carry many advantages over traditional suture as a tissue adhesive and have been increasingly used in a variety of ophthalmic procedures over the past 15 years. Several fibrin sealants are commercially available worldwide, each of which differs slightly in its composition and mechanism of delivery. The focus of our review is to briefly discuss the reported uses of fibrin in ophthalmic surgery and provide a broad overview of the properties associated with each commercially available fibrin sealant. |
