Zusammenfassung: | The gross phytoplankton production (GPP) and the gross ecosystem production (GEP) of the Quashnet River were studied for 12 days to identify a possible correlation of GPP to GEP. In addition, several physical factors such as photosynthetically available radiation, temperature, salinity, water column depth and wind speed and direction were also studied to determine their influence on both GEP and GPP. Results failed to conclusively assert a correlation between GPP and GEP. |
