Zusammenfassung:Torsion of the gravid uterus is defined as rotation of the uterus on its longitudinal axis. The upper segment or body of the uterus rotates relative to the fixed lower segment, where they meet anatomically. Here, Joseph et al present a case of a 31-year-old primigravida who was diagnosed with dichorionic diamniotic twin pregnancy in the first trimester, was booked under consultant care at 15 weeks' gestation. The anomaly scan at 20 weeks revealed no abnormalities in either fetuses. Both grew well above the 50th centile for abdominal and head circumference and femur length, with regular scans. Both babies were delivered in good condition. There were no uterine abnormalities. The uterus reverted to its anatomical position post-delivery.
