Zusammenfassung:Placental teratoma, with less than 20 cases reported in the world literature is a rare primary nontrophoblastic tumour. The exact histogenesis is still controversial, with some regarding it as a true neoplasm, while others consider it as an extreme form of fetus amorphous. Whatever its histogenesis, it is invariably benign and causes no adverse effects on the fetus or the outcome of the gestation. This case is being presented for its rarity, with a review of literature.
