Zusammenfassung: | [...] by betting it all on a fifth-generation-only fighter jet strategy, the Pentagon is well on the way to causing a back-door BRAC that will result in more experienced Air Guard units being shut down and an evisceration of our nation's air defense. With advanced avionics, weaponry and radar, these fighters are more appropriately suited for the Air Guard's air sovereignty mission to defend the homeland against low-flying, slow-moving targets; more relevant in targeting terrorists in current and foreseeable conflicts like Mghanistan; and can be purchased in large enough quantities to address the looming fighter shortfall. |
