For instance, this year's health system reform law--the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act--provides 100% Medicare coverage for annual preventive sessions for seniors. It allows us time not only to conduct functional assessments but also actually to discuss a variety of important subjects with our older patients. The law is broad enough that all will be able to tailor these sessions to the patients, and it should make a tremendous difference. |
