Zusammenfassung:A comparative study was conducted on music students in the US and in Hungary to determine the music achievement of different countries. The results from the music aptitude test revealed that younger Hungarian students received higher scores than older American students. This led to the conclusion that theUS is lagging behind at least one European country in the quality of music education possibly due to the lack of a nationwide music curriculum.
