To date, film and TV studios have tended to be built in London and the South East, with massive expansion plans already under way at studios such as Shepperton and Elstree. In contrast, there has been less development in the North of England. Now, however, the situation appears to be changing, with new studios planned for Northern cities including Liverpool, Manchester and Sunderland.
