Zusammenfassung:Netscape's new layout engine - Gecko - will offer a surprising degree of layout flexibility in a very small package. The Gecko design emphasizes standards, speed, size, and source. Although the code is not yet finished, performance tests of HTML pages with nested tables show that, in some cases, Gecko can lay out and render Web pages up to 10 times faster than other browsers. Developers will use the WebShell APIs to interact with the Gecko engine once it has been linked to their application.
