Recognized standards: A new tool for your toolbox

A recognized standard is a reference to an international or national standard from another standards development organization (SDO) that is identified as relevant to ASABE's interests. Because ASABE members rely on many SDOs that represent various industries and topics, they often use standards that are relevant to their needs but that are not ASABE Standards. [...]for some international standards, ASABE faces challenges including royalty payments, other financial commitments, high rigor for the standards approval process, and implementation of repeated review processes between ISO and ASABE. Once included on the list, no interpretation will be made regarding the standard by ASABE staff or technical committee members.
