Abstract The use of agile project management has grown in recent years in order to secure the effectiveness and efficiency of projects in a complex and dynamic environment. The effects of agile projects on employees has been subject to little research to date. Against this backdrop, we examined in this study to what extend the degree of agility of projects influences the satisfaction with work, and thus indirectly the employee commitment. The central result of the empirical research is that the degree of agility positively effects all of the facets of work satisfaction, and these elements, in turn, strengthen the affective employee commitment.
