Zusammenfassung:Until now, games have been competing with the promotion of reading in Japan libraries, and collection and provision of them have not progressed, but the number of cases of playing board games and table talk role-playing games at public libraries and school libraries has increased since 2018. This paper examines the significance and effects of collecting and providing games in the future as library information resources based on cases in the United States, Scandinavia and Japan. As a result, it was found that if the library intends to provides opportunities for various cultural experiences, it is necessary to consider introducing games as one of the library information resources.
