[...]to endogenous crises, the crisis management has to comply with the requirements of the public disaster management, i. e., the scope of action of crisis management is limited in terms of content and time of action. In spite of the variety of disasters (their strength, duration, regional spread) and the crises they cause as well as the respective crisis situations of the companies, some recommendations for action have proven to be relevant for crisis management. Leadership is also required, accompanied with situation-specific crisis communication. The transition from the crisis mode to the normal business situation must be planned at an early stage, and the crisis management should recognize and take advantage of the opportunities inherent in all crises.
