Zusammenfassung:Military logistics innovation lacks a cross-service strategic picture. It hardly enjoys the backing of a strong military academic research community, with the exception of historical logistics studies. The operational domain by comparison performs better in this respect, with multiple think tanks, Department of Defense units, and universities constituting a vibrant intellectual community. To sustain relevance in the digital era, we need insight into effective strategic logistics innovation processes, including instruments for stimulating and synergizing micro-innovations. Here, Van Fenema et al talk about how advance innovation in strategic logistics in the military.
