Zusammenfassung: | Menhart provides her message as president of the Organization of American Kodaly Educators. The fall 2020 semester is underway. Instructional technologies and safety measures have been prioritized, with strategies and procedures implemented at all levels and in all disciplines. Educators have learned to improvise when the technology malfunctions unexpectedly, but improvisation never enters the picture regarding safety, as they continually sanitize and social distance. She is also greatly inspired by the flexibility, resilience, and willingness of teachers and students to try something new. They are learning how to communicate in presentation formats that may have been the exception in the past but are now the rule: remote-synchronous, online-asynchronous, hybrid, which combines both remote-synchronous and in-person, and in-person outside instruction. |
