Zusammenfassung:The Phoenix International Holdings Inc- owned and operated HARDSUIT Atmospheric Diving System (ADS) has been successfully used in the oil and gas industry since 2003 for installations, inspections, maintenance, repairs and decommissioning. As methods and procedures continue to change and advance, there has also been a gravitation toward using the HARDSUITs for heavy installation work, including the installation of risers, large connectors, pull tubes, SCR porches, guide frames and subsea trees. Depth rated for works down to 1,200 ft., the one-person, 1-atmosphere suit offers clients a cost-effective alternative to saturation diving, as well as several other advantages, including reduced exposure to personnel safety hazards, reduced mobilization/demobilization time, smaller equipment footprint than saturation systems, better performance in high currents, and significantly lower operating cost due to smaller crew size and the ability to be deployed from a platform or rig, thereby eliminating the cost of a dive support vessel. Further, the suit has unlimited depth excursion in water columns, it can fit into tight spaces, and ADS pilots can manually operate diver-related underwater required tooling with its manipulators.
