Prolonged charging times are regarded as one of the major obstacles putting the brakes on electromobility. Now, however, thanks to the 800-volt system from connector specialist HARTING, charging will hardly take much longer than filling up at the pump. Fielding its extensive range of proprietary connectors, the family-owned and managed company masters the entire value chain - from power generation, distribution and storage all the way through to the vehicle charging plug. Transmission not only involves power, but also information which is a key technology for smart power grids.
