Zusammenfassung:The Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC) has been ramping up research in all areas related to microgrid power systems to support the Secretary of the Navy's energy goals for security and independence. It has laid out three major strategic research initiatives: the rapid design of optimized microgrid systems using cutting-edge microgrid screening and design tools; the testing of physical microgrid system components, and training Navy and Marine Corps personnel in microgrid systems through the recently developed Microgrid Academy.
