Zusammenfassung:The good times got better for the Top 200 Environmental Firms in 2000, as they somehow managed to add more than $1 billion to their bottom line in a year when major changes in the US economy and political leadership started to point the other way. Top 200 firms boosted total revenue to nearly $28 billion. The US Department of Energy issued a record volume of cleanup management contracts, and corporate continued to hire Top 200 firms to study, remediate and manage their environmental liabilities. Construction and remediation revenue held at $10.1 billion for the Top 200 last year, while design, consulting and study revenue jumped 14% to $10 billion.
