Zusammenfassung:An eventful year in Canadian competition law occurred in 1998. Significant amendments to the Competition Act were reintroduced in Parliament this year. The amendments (Bill C-20) have now been sent back to the House of Commons after amendment by the Senate and it is expected that they will be passed in the first half of 1999.
