Zusammenfassung:Techies may be defined as those learned few who are trained in, imbued with, chosen because of, or otherwise afflicted with a profound technical knowledge or ability in their chosen discipline or field - such as environmental science or engineering. The purpose of most techie activities is to provide information to managers for action. This article addresses some of the shortfalls that the techie typically faces in attempting to prepare for the managerial world, and how they can be overcome.
