Zusammenfassung: | Scandinavia is a tried and tested market for US cross-border leases, domestic leases and QTEs. But although Scandinavia has been the focus of a series of frenzied marketing campaigns from Europe and the US, there is now only a trickle of deals coming to market. However, arrangers claim this is all about to change. If a service contract for the Asker Kommune in Norway closes successfully, it will encourage the Nordic municipal mindset to adopt a more proactive approach towards to leasing. Conservatism has reduced the number of potential deals coming to market, as municipalities have traditionally been very wary of adopting leasing as a means of managing their budgets. There is a lack of legislation governing big-ticket leasing in the Nordic region. |
