Fuel: a battle for survival

Worst are the haulage buyers who cynically use their buying power to exploit small firms. We have evidence that firms seeing their own fuel bill rise by more than £lm have refused rate increases to their hauliers. Perhaps it simply wasn't in the budget! Such firms are being shortsighted. They are damaging not only their hauliers, but also the availability of essential haulage services.
