A growing collective diminishment of will to address addiction to society have become less adamant to prevent, end or halt addiction. The current reality that addiction is profitable for many and therefore needs to be addressed carefully. Addiction is a brain disease, but not just a brain disease it is also a psychological, sociological, and spiritual disease which needs to be addressed through treatment. Many addiction workers are older and on their way out of the field. Integrating new research knowledge maybe the last thing on the mind of clinician exhibiting a superhuman effort to help their clients. |
