Zusammenfassung: | Accompanying an exhibition focusing on his graphic works, this catalog, edited by British Museum curator Bartrum, traces the development of the artist through loss and trauma, changing European influences, and his preoccupation with negative space. Cowritten by Burns and filmmaker and author Duncan (Out West), the book is lavishly illustrated and studded with detail, emphasizing the influence of such massive historical events as the Great Depression and World War II on the rise of one of America's major musical genres. REL Phelps-Roper placed complete faith in the scripture of the King James Bible and the Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) to guide her life. Composed mainly of African Americans and Jewish Americans from working-class backgrounds, City College was the first and only team to win the NIT and NCAA national championship in the same season, led by Hall of Fame coach Nat Holman. |
